Overview
Malaysia recruits Bangladeshi workers mainly for manufacturing, plantations, construction and services. It is one of the few destinations offering all three of work, study and tourism at accessible cost, and the cultural and religious familiarity makes adjustment easier for many first-time migrants.
Malaysia also has the most volatile policy history of any destination we handle - recruitment from Bangladesh has been suspended and restarted several times. We only advertise circulars where the quota and calling visa are already approved and verifiable.
Why Malaysia?
Statutory minimum wage
A national minimum wage applies to foreign workers on the same basis as locals.
Overtime commonly available
Manufacturing roles frequently offer substantial paid overtime above the base wage.
Cultural familiarity
A Muslim-majority country with halal food widely available and an established Bangladeshi community.
Study and work routes
Affordable university options alongside employment, unusual among our destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Malaysian recruitment currently open?
It has been suspended and reopened several times over the past decade. We only publish circulars where the employer quota and calling visa are already approved and can be verified - never on the expectation that recruitment might reopen.
What is the actual take-home pay?
Base pay under the minimum wage is roughly ৳ 40,000-46,000 per month. With regular overtime, manufacturing workers commonly reach ৳ 55,000-70,000. Accommodation is usually provided; food is generally not.
What is FOMEMA?
It is Malaysia's mandatory medical screening for foreign workers, done after arrival. Failing it means repatriation, which is why we insist on a proper medical in Bangladesh first rather than sending anyone with a known condition.
Can I study and work in Malaysia at the same time?
Student pass holders may work limited hours during semester breaks under strict conditions. Do not plan your finances around it - it is not a route to full-time employment.
Check all employer documents and agency licence before payment. Never send money to a personal mobile wallet number.
